Photography Museum Charleroi

This merits a visit, a trip through photography through the ages in a nineteenth century cloister, my favourite is a photo from circa 1850 taken in Ghent. There’s stuff for the kids to do to, a bit of a dress-up, a mock studio, some very old cameras, a camera obscura, a good restaurant. The museum contains just enough of everything about everything, fabulous impressionist style photographs that make one dream and scary photos of poor people in America in the depression. If the weather’s good, there’s a large lawn to run around on, with gigantic photographs.
